Guild Wars 2

I keep seeing this in game and I am not very pleased with it… A lot of games are successfully removing bots and you cannot see them roaming in the world.. This is really annoying and a lot of us would like it resolved as soon as possible.. it’s been a couple of months since the release but I do not see the bots numbers reducing… Of course I report all of the bots I see and I hope other people do as well ! Of course this is not only in the low – level territories (As you may come to the conclusion from my thief’s level). I can assure you this is happening trough out the world all up to level 80 (Yes, I have a level 80 character).

ANet said they just hired, and are working on spinning up, a whole team of people dedicated to dealing with bots/scammers/gold sellers.

I don’t think they anticipated that it would be as big of a problem as it has become.

Fortunately, on my server (tarnished coast) there seem to be very few issues with it compared to other servers.

I’m on Henge of Denravi and really haven’t noticed a lot. Seen a few gold sellers and one ranger-bear train, but nothing really obnoxious.

They’ve said they’re working on it, and it’s only been 2 months or so since the game launched. Plus, the huge Halloween event and all the other stuff going on.

I think ArenaNet got a bit taken by surprise with botting / goldfarming with GW2. But they’re working on it so I’m not too fussed.

I’m on the Vabbi server and I see bots constantly – not a day goes by without seeing AT LEAST 5 bots…… I’m getting tired of reporting because I have to do it every 15 minutes….
