What’s the point of it being an item?..
It’s account bound, for an account wide bonus, it’s used for one thing and one thing only… Why not instead just put luck straight into the account’s luck meter upon salvage?..

It’s also a crafting item for artefacing. I’m not sure what it makes, but there it is.

It is wonderful for the Monthly Achievement of Masterwork Crafting. Please don’t remove it as an item.

You can use to make (drum roll)… more essences of luck!!!..

Really all it does is to save you a few clicks (and maybe give you some extra crafting XP, don’t know), you do things like using 5 x fine (blue) essences of luck (50 luck total) to craft 1 masterwork (green) essence of luck (50 luck total), and so on.

I’d also agree to put the luck right into the account when salvaging without having to use a physical item, I’d suggest to do the same with karma containers.

It’s a pile of Elonian protection magic, mixed with a little monk training,
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.

Yup. I sometimes feel like arenanet devs sit around and think of the worst ways to implement something; Okay so we have to get rid of magic find gear.. so instead we’ll give players a long term goal of breaking their fingers salvaging 10000s of items to get negligible bonuses, and we’ll give em useless recipies to combine em.. But lets not let them combine em to the highest value, just to kitten em off even more.

Yup.

I lost a lot of faith in the dev team after the trait rollout and the long silence afterward. Megaservers, while a good idea conceptually, need a LOT of tweaking, and we haven’t heard any ideas from them about it.

Yup. wish we could make the exotics into the ascended/500 ones. Kitten, they could make the recipe take 5 exotics and give 2 ascended. I’d rather have to click through two things than 5. (I have 3 stacks of the exotics that I loath thinking about due the number of clicks)

It is delivered as a item so that you feel rewarded. Note you do not always get it from blues. They put it in crafting to make it so you do not have to click so much (Wish cooks could do that with karma jugs).
