Why Not Zodiac Weapons?
Bugs me as well. On top of that they were completely removed from Black Lion Weapon Specialists without previous notice. Just watch that price skyrocket :/

I’m dying to get my hands on the Zodiac Greatsword for my Necro once specs hit. Would love to have had Zodiac skins included in the promotion, since I can’t afford the current prices.
It does seem like it would have been the perfect time to do it.
3 sets at the same time @ 1 ticket is good enough. Otherwise the value per ticket skyrockets since people have to decide between several sets.
Look at the current prices for Chaos and Tormented. Very high even though they only cost 1 ticket each.

Personally, I would have preferred to see Zodiacs at 1 ticket each, rather than Tormented (which are nearly as bad in GW2 as they were in GW1) or Chaos (which were great in GW1, but just a glowy typo of a weapon in GW2).
Still, based on the past, it’s pretty common for ANet to suddenly retire one or more skins and/or bring back others at a reduced ticket cost. I don’t have any problems with what ANet did — it just wouldn’t have been my choice.
