Guild Wars 2

A lot of the times, when I’m killing creatures and capturing towers and keeps in WvW, I don’t get any experience points and item/gold rewards. It only happens like 1 out of 3 times but is very frustrating!! Also, I usually don’t get any Medal of Honor but just bag of loot from killing other players in WvW. Does any one know why this is?

Yeah, I think the reason i’m not getting rewards is because i play supportive guardian mostly, so i don’t do as much damage as the other builds/classes. This sucks because i love playing supportive roles that no body plays but i don’t get rewarded for that… it’s depressing…

We just have a chance to get reward for each kill.
Don’t ask me why I spend hours on wvw, killing and finishing lots of enemies, completing events and only gathering 10 badges after 3 hours tho.

It should be 1 badge per kill. And then balance the rewards and make them more expensive if needed. This randomness makes no sense at all.

well, a huge part of MMOs is exactly that randomness. being more lucky than others just feels kinda nice.

as for XP: you should always get them, I never had a problem with that. Are you sure you didn’t just miss it?

you are to late on capturing or do to little dmg? or have you played alot of WvW? maybe the anti-bot system have find you.

It has been my experience that you don’t get kill credit for players if you only damage them after they’ve been downed. If you get credit, you should get exp. (Badges are still random though. If you want guaranteed badges, do the jumping puzzles.)

From what I understand there is a limit on how many medals or whatever you can get for killing players. I figure they want to avoid rewarding people for certain types of behaviour in wvw. For example a big zerg that rampages through smaller groups constantly doesn’t get rewarded for that. By itself I think that’s a good thing, but I can imagine there may be moments where it affects people who aren’t doing that.

As with anything systems draw a line in the sand somewhere and it isn’t always fair, but it is the way it is, because the alternatives are worse.
