Why are Auras not actually auras?
Personally, I’d rather see the little flashing icons than to have them stack on multiple auras.
If you’ve ever been in a huge WvW battle with all 3 servers players stacked up in SM’s great hall, you’d understand. It’s already very graphic intensive from all of the AoE’s going off. Add auras to all that mess and it could, potentially, become 100x worse.
not always be right, but I am never wrong.

It took me awhile to understand what you were asking due to the use of the word “Aura”. In this game, Auras are an Elementalist skill system.

I don’t mean change visuals, just the buff bar

Does it matter what Aura means in this game? It’s a universal term that I think you can figure out. Just because it’s a skillset type doesn’t mean the actual use of the word gets voided.

It does make it highly confusing for people like me who are used to GW2 but don’t play other MMOs. Maybe it’s also because I’m tired but I have absolutely no idea what you mean by “aura”, unless you mean all skills which buff allies.
Can someone explain what it means in the context of this thread please?
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Sounds like he means a persistent bubble rather than a pulse. He wants a bubble that automatically applies it as a permanence as long as someone is in the bubble, rather than having the effect pulse in order to refresh itself and apply. Insofar as coding goes, it’s the same exact thing, though. It’s just a matter of whether this refresh is visible to the player.
It is just silly for a warrior to create their own aura.

It means that anyone who comes close to the person gets the buff and lose it when they leave instead of it randomly applying a buff that last for 7 seconds.

They already have what amounts to one…?
