The materials required to make a legendary are going up, and I mean UP! What gives?

A couple of reasons. One, many people have more gold because of invasion farming and the Queen’s Pavilion before that. So more people have money to buy T6 mats and increased demand drives up price. Second, was the release about the new ascended weapons, which will require T6 mats. People are stocking up and so prices are increasing.

Pretty much what the previous poster said.

1. Tier 6 materials will be needed for Ascended Crafting
2. Legendaries got some graphic updates, so more demand for legendaries themselves.
3. Legendary weapons are getting some stat upgrades, making them more desirable.

Its bc gw2 (guild wars 2) is becoming gw2 (grind wars 2).
