I’m kind of annoyed that there’s really only a certain amount of items you can get in each category (blues, greens, yellows, etc) per area.
If you’ve farmed cursed shored for any amount of time, you’ve seen this too. Any rare you get will be one of something like 10 pre-set weapons or armors with pre-set runes (traveler’s orrian trident of air, etc). And that’s it, there’s 10-15 of them. Even the blues and greens become repeats after a while.
Why?
Why is there no truly RNG system like GW1? When you got a gold drop in a high level area like FoW, UW, or the ring of fire it could be almost ANYTHING. There were certain drops that were exclusive to that area (like the Magmas shield in RoF), but none of the drops were pre-set specifically to be found there. In addition to finding FoW-only skins in FoW, you could also find skins for various weapons from anywhere in Tyria. That’s not even getting into the fact that they all had varying stats (different level requirements, different mods, etc). Why does everything for a certain area all have to be one of X pre-set skin, and always with the same rune? At the very least if there’s only going to be 10-15 preset rare dorps for an area, the rune that comes with it should be variable, to add a LITTLE spice.
