Mesmer leader of a CoF P2 group teleported right to the chest at the end and left before the other 4 members of our group could get the chest. All 4 of us got kicked out before we could get the chest reward.

Has this issue been addressed by the devs in the past?

you mean cof P1? you get 1 minutes to get your chest for cof p2.

if you still can’t get that…

unless you mean he quit before he get the end reward, since the end reward need 1 minutes to pop, and he gave that up.

Not if the dungeon leader leaves.

well give the guy some credit. He’s willing to give up 1 gold and tokens to grief you.

Not if he teleports to the chest immediately after the “boss” in the middle dies and nabs the rewards!

I’m surprised this hasn’t been fixed since day 1.

i thought the chest only have a few blues and greens, you need to wait for the popup to get the 1 gold reward. And path 2 takes very long for the popup to come up.

That chest he grabbed doesn’t have the tokens and 1g.

well it’s either the 1 gold or the 20 silver reward he’s willing to give up. Sorry for your lost.

most of the time the chest only give a few blues and greens anyway.

At the end of the dungeon, there’s the boss chest, the 1g and 40 tokens reward that pops up on the screen, and the bonus chest (with the 20s and bonus tokens) that pops up in the lower right-hand corner. In CoF p1 after you finish the boss, there are a couple of seconds before the cut scene, and the 1g/40 token reward pops up AFTER the cut scene is done. As for p2 there’s about a minute between the boss chest appearing and the dungeon reward being given. So yeah, the guy grabbed the boss chest (and possibly the bonus 20s chest, if he was fast) and then left without his main reward, too.

Regardless, yeah, the guy is a tool.

Anet has known about this since release, or when the Group Finder came out, i think. They won’t fix it. This is why i hate dungeons in gw2.

It’s not the leader of the group that does it, but the person who starts the event.

It’s not only the loot you miss out on, but the achievement too. Most of the time, the person who leaves doesn’t know this happens either. So the blame isn’t their fault.

This has to do with how the person who opens the instance owns it (you can see by what server you get put on) so if they leave it kicks everyone because the instance doesn’t have an owner. It’s really not setup well at all.

Suggestion: Make dungeon instances work like Megaservers where there is no home server or owner for the instance so it doesn’t close out when the person who opened it leaves.
