Most of them look like two handed greatswords, especially with the possible PvP unlocks.

Oversized anime style doesn’t appeal to everyone, so why are the majority of weapons insanely big?

Is it too much to ask for decent looking items to be realistically scaled too?
Or must we have the boring looks for a normal size.

Treetrunk in one hand if you want something that took longer than 5 minutes to model in 3dsMax?…

Well what do you play? Norn naturally have large weapons than everyone, that could be the case if you play Norn. I’ll say that the Vigil sword looks more like a giant’s personal butter knife than it does a one-handed combat, but that’s the only case that comes to mind.

But ya, some swords are ridiculously oversized. But I think that it is kinda neat in an artistic styling.

I really would like to see some more normal-looking swords too to be honest. Variety is always good.

I play a human warrior and I’ve not noticed this at all, most swords look pretty much, well, sword sized. What skins do you notice this on?

In fact I’ve been annoyed because most of the swords I’ve had (apart from the silvari skin ive just picked up) have looked too normal for a magical fantasy world, where are these massive swords of yours? I want one.

I play a human and when I browse the PvP locker I cringe at 90% of what’s available.

The only types that look alright are – Priory, Gladius, Seraph, Arcing, Valley, Makeshift and Lionguard. 7/56, and of those, 3 are very dull designs.
(Valley is basically at the length limit and has a good width to it, some blades are as long but are 1 foot wide… which is stupid).

Look at stuff like the Forge Blade, it touches the floor when on the characters hip!

2H Greatsword size in 1 hand… Silly stuff like Vigil, Pact, Ogre, Obtuse, Norn, Fen, Krait, Kodan, Swordbreaker, Crystalline, Legionnaire, Tribal and the loltastic Dual Edge.

Isn’t it obvious why? Warriors like to over-compensate

The Fiery Dragon Sword is super oversized. Its bigger than a super massive behemoth cave troll.

I played most of the game with a seraph sword, just trucking through PvE content, and didnt really hunt for skins, which is maybe why I didn’t notice until I started wielding a shiny plant.

I think ill go have a look through this PvP locker and see what I want to find.

Size, whether too big or too small, is in the eye of the beholder. Personally I like to look more bada** then realistic when fighting 6 story tall dragons and such.

They might be a bit outsized in some cases here. But nothing compared to the giant weapons of TERA. These weapons are breath of fresh air compared to those monstrosities.

Or even 2h swords. Why not a katana style 2hander? Most game devs don’t even seem to realize that the katana is a 2h sword. Something more agile looking like that should at least be an option.

Because otherwise they would be daggers. which are the size you usually would think being sword.

Interestingly, it seems that most other weapons such as staffs, rifles, focus and even most shields are not over sized.

I think they overdid “bigger is better” with the swords, seeing that the tip of a 1h clips in the ground when worn at the hip.

The greatswords are even more egregiously oversized. They look like they are 4-handed swords.
