Considering that the shimmering/tenebrous weapons require the guild weapons for crafting, why are the guild weapons soulbond on purchase?

Learned the hard way when buying a guild focus on my engineer to create the shimmering focus to help level my elementalist level in artificer. I can’t even use the guild focus if it’s stored in the bank for the recipe.

I made this mistake as well a few weeks ago making a Shimmering Staff for my guardian. Bought the Guild Pillar on my warrior.

I hope so. But that doesn’t change the fact that these exotic weapons that require special tokens that are also part of a recipe are soulbound, and they should consider changing these weapons to accountbound.

IIRC, you can still use them for crafting tenebrous/shimmering weapons by putting it in your bank since the crafting interface checks your bank for materials as well.
