Why are you allowing BOTS to be on for over 48 hours solid.

" We are actively improving our means of detecting ‘bot’ activity in the game automatically. This includes tools for our customer support team to help them verify ‘botting’ reports and efficiently issue account terminations. Recently we have also hired a team of data specialists who will be helping us create more effective tools for analyzing reports of ‘botting.’ "
Yes thank you, I read that post, im not asking WHAT they are doing im asking why they are being allowed to stay on over 48 solid, thanks for copying and pasting though, it was worth the effort.
Perhaps they cannot prove “beyond reasonable doubt” that they are bots? It may not be as simple on their end to say “he is botting, ban him” with all the legal issues they might face.
They’re building applications that will auto-detect and ban bots. Doing this requires time (obviously) and data collection. If they ban all the bots manually, they lose the opportunity to collect data, and refine the tools.
Botting hurts their image, and their profit. So worry not, it is a top issue for them.
I have to admit, that screenshot is showing some pretty lame stuff.
I’m not sure what the second post has to do with the first, other than perhaps pointing out that the methods mentioned in the second post don’t appear to be effectively stopping the problems shown in the first. I doubt that was the intention of the copy/paste, though.

You are right. That was not my intention. See my second post. I should have been clearer.

What legal issues? ANet has the right to terminate anyone’s account at anytime, for no reason at all. I guess you missed that in the EULA.
Sorry for being rude. Its difficult to know intentions behind posts.
There is already a thread, that is about Bots. Please use this one: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/On-Botting-and-What-We-re-Doing-About-It
