Why bother adding...
Actually many people in the new hot maps are now using things other then zerker, high level fractals and raids most likely will make you look like a noob as well if your using full zerker
Zerk still has its place for those who can handle dodging and dps in raids, but armor values on mobs have increased across the board in HoT.
Sinister is going to gain in popularity, and quartz is shooting up in price because Celestial/Hybrid builds are getting popular.
Personally, after the huge warrior nerf to condi/boon durations, I look forward to Expertise and Concentration as stats to buoy support boons (and finally get my 100% swiftness uptime back :P).

Because zerker might be the most “efficient” for some types of content, but some people like options and it looks like a lot of the new stuff is going to encourage, if not out-right require, other stat combos.

I like that players have a variety of stat builds to choose from. I love a game that allows players to play the way they want. Even if a group of others feel there is a particular best, the fact that you have options is a great thing. I personally like to have survivability so I have never used Berserker gear.
Personally I’d like to see every possible stat combination made available. Of course some wouldn’t be effective as a full set, but even so there are benefits.
Firstly it might be possible to do some interesting things by mixing different stat combinations (some people do this already, but more options allows more experimentation).
Secondly it could be an interesting way of increasing the difficulty for those who want it. I’ve had a lot of fun trying to play single-player games with really random “bad” builds.
But maybe most importantly for the choice to be meaningful there have to be bad choices as well as good ones. Otherwise they may as well go the Dragon Age route and decide players are too stupid to be allowed to choose their own stats and the game should do it for you. (Don’t get me wrong, I think Inquisition is a great game in general, but that really annoys me.

I hardly doubt there will actually be a place that requires you not to be a zerker. We’ll see.
