I understand Anet doesn’t want promotion of narcotics publicized in their game, and that’s fantastic. I can see their issue with the word “high” in a guild name, but why can’t I have highway or highmountain or highvenue or highschool etc? To me that’s a little dumb. The word high by itself should be censored but why can’t I have The highway bandits etc as a guild name? I think they’re over doing it a bit. In an MMO it’s hard enough coming up with original names someone else hasn’t already used, without having to jump through censorship hurdles. Highway isn’t a swear word, nor is it anything offensive at all but I can’t use it because of the first four letters?!?!

Had to rant about that. haha.

Personally I think even IF the word “high” can have a drug connotation it can also have totally innocent meanings and should be allowed, it’s like banning the word grape because of 4 letters after the g spell something bad (some MMO’s do this) when you are “WTB Grapes” and it comes out “WTB Gkittens” or something like that.

Even the word “weed” would be appropriate it’s not always a drug connotation.

Too bad we the players don’t get to decide on what’s okay or not and a vocal minority of over sensitive people get developers to determine THEIR decency and censorship standards to be imposed on everyone.
