Yeah, but its a single action that happens while initiating the dodge / jump. You can’t jump and say “oh kitten” and then dodge.

While I do agree that it would be impossible in real life, likewise, post a video of you shooting a dragon with your magic unicorn bow.

Not entirely. Even though it’s fantasy, people still expect realistic aspects. You can’t just say “it’s fantasy!” and completely get rid of gravity. There are certain things the audience will suspend disbelief on , and there are certain things that will upset them. Finding the balance is the key.

I would not like to see my character jump straight in the air, then at the peak roll backwards out of nowhere.

You can indeed jump + dodge. Practice it. It’s very useful, esp for jumping puzzles and pvp.

Sorry, I was saying that you can (in the game) jump and dodge at the same time. You end up doing a jump/flip. But you can’t jump and then later dodge.

But nice to know there are a lot of physic experts looking to jump on anything I say.

Well, I also think that dodging after jumping would feel weird (and yes, I know how to do both at the same time; even though it’s quite useless and just for fun or when I’m bored). What doesn’t feel weird at all, but also completely defies physics is that you can change directions while jumping, and thus jump around corners. Actually, you can even move backwards midair after you jumped forwards… ^^

Jump.
Shoot 3 mobs (quickly loot with AOE looting on).
Activate Rocket Boots in mid air.
Reload your gun.
Dodge the tree you were about to hit.
Quick Jump Shot to get above the tree line.
Unfold Experimental Gliding Kit.
Warning: Experimental Gliding Kit has a 20% chance to explode each second. Why? Because engineers blow stuff up all the time.
Due to Experimental Gliding Kit being bugged you have to log out in order to land. Or wait until it explodes.
