I am wondering why Anet didn’t show the name of 2nd xpack last week.

Why is it a secret?

Does anyone presume why we didn’t get the name last week?

Because they wanted to give it to us in a few hours at the announcement?

Maybe no one looked up the new patents this time; I don’t know.

Because.. thats something you usually reserve for the announcement??
What company releases the name of their of their game before te official announcement?

Its called:

GW2 Innovation

They are gathering data from That_Shaman’s PoF ‘leak’ and making an informed decision of the expansion name 5 minutes before the trailer goes live. /s

I think last week someone also asked why didn’t they give us the price of the expac as well. I think this is evidence we’re relying too much on leaks and data mining these days for our news.

There aren’t any registered trademarks, yet. I did some searches on the US, EU and DE-registries and nothing shows up (besides the “old” stuff).

A deluxe breakfast for sure if eggs were added. A good thing to have while watching the announcement. At least we have an announcement of an expansion, even if we don’t know the name of it yet. It’s called building suspense. Like building a good meal, it all takes time and effort.

They didn’t give us the name of the expac so there would be lots of threads like this, with people discussing the expac. It’s an easy (and incredibly cheap) way to generate hype.
