Why do Anet people play with Anet Tags?
So I can remind them that the bugged icons in stereoscopic 3D rendering still needs to be fixed.
it’s actually quite fun on my end to see them
~ what i usually do when they’re on
me: “pssst Anet dev (i actually call them by their name instead of anet dev), give me super powers so i can fly”
them: “no”
me: " darn"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~me: " pssst, Anet dev… give me a hug"
them: “hugs”
me: “oh yeah”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~me: “pssst, Anet dev. let me get a peak of that dev menu so i can give a champ 10x my actual damage so i can feel like a super hero woman”
them: “no”
me: “darn”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~me: “pssst, Anet dev – will there be sab this year?”
them: “hey look, shadow behemoth is up”
me: “hmm…. and darn”haha! That is about how it goes when I ever I run with my tag up.
By and large, the community is pretty darn nice to me when I’m flying the colors. I had the best time running with groups in the Tower of Nightmares and other big events. I’ve loved when I’m hanging out crafting, and folks come chat with me. I like just doing random hearts, jumping puzzles, and such.
Only rarely have I received a not as friendly reception. This is especially when I like to talk to players. I listen. I take notes. This is a very passionate community and I absolutely enjoy playing with everyone. After all, I was a part of the community before I started working here.
My home server is truly my home server!
More like “pssst Anet, get back to fixing ranger and stop playing crappy warrior signet builds.”
Ha-ha, I knew it! Most of Devs play for warrior that why they so OP (-_-)
No tag: “Devs don’t even play this game and have no idea about balance or what players want.”
Tag on: This thread.
Hey, look, this thread has both!
Poor Anet devs in WvW. Everyone targets them even if there’s 100 people infront of them.
While they have the ability to have a ANet tag over their heads, that is about the limit of their powers on live servers. They do not have access to dev powers on live servers normally and would get in super trouble if they used them.
I will play with my tag up if I want to talk to players and hang out. I tend to do this around specific community events, like the EU and NA Tumblr meet-ups and other similar events. I’ve never gotten any hate/grief when I play with my tag up. People are very pleasant towards me.
I play on an NA World because time zones and also my non-ArenaNet guild is on an NA World.
Most of time time, I’m playing incognito, though.
I have no idea who Agent Scips is, but (s)he is always pleasant to talk too on Fort Aspenwood. There is also a male & female I’m guessing a couple or very close friends that always run around with their tags on >_< they are so amusing when you run dungeons with them. I remember during flame and frost they were bickering back and forth over using short cuts in that dungeon. “You’re such a bad example!”
Well, we get thousands of threads in which players who dislike something, make dumb comments like
“Anet would know that if they played the game”
Then when they turn on their tags to display that they do play the game, we get people making threads like this.
Danged if they do, danged if they don’t
there were a couple Anet tags in WvW on TC last night. I was commanding, and the map was pretty quiet at that point, so I decided to just Ctrl+T target one of the Anet dudes and let him lead our zerg for about an hour. We achieved total victory over map completion, then he went to another borderland.
