Dyes=cosmetic, chests=cosmetic, or worthless, and there is still no proof of the DR bug the same five people keep preaching about. The only thing that has drastically changed in game has been Fractals, which actually gives people more money and loot, they added bank space for craft mats= saves on money, and had sales on various things people wanted=saves on money. You need to come up with some better stuff, because your old routine is stale.

You think it’s stale? That I need to “come up with some better stuff”? This topic, and all it entails, was my invention? Where the hell is my bloated Nexon salary, then?
Man, I would happily go the rest of my days never posting or thinking about this garbage again.
The sole purpose is the quite evidently vain hope that a better-educated gaming populace might be the way to save this wonderful game some of us waited so bloody long for.
But I think you’re right, at the end of the day.
Ranting about these suicidal business decisions, and lamenting what will be lost because too few people use their kitten brains, all the whiles watching the heavy-handed, and typically silent, mod team do their business, has been rather pointlessly aggravating.
Cheerio, and enjoy! I’m sure in a few months you and your ilk will be left basking in the lack of dissent on these forums, happily chirping away blind nothings at each other about how great it all is now that the complainers have gone.
And then you’ll all bugger off to the next FotM game, and those of us who love this franchise will try and sift some worth out of the developers wasted talents and years.
Also, Crystin, one final thing: Do yourself, and your dinosaur of a company a favour, and go check out the Path of Exile cash store.
Even in it’s fledgling infancy, a small team of New Zealanders have crafted a shop that even in your wildest flights of fancy you could not hope to equal.
Cosmetics done properly.

See, same old stuff you’ve been posting, nothing new. Perhaps in a few months this, perhaps that. Still no proof, still no facts. Lay it on us Oh Mighty Informed non blind one. I’m glad you like path of exile, go play it….please. And I don’t play FoTM, didn’t agree with the whole ascended gear bit, so I don’t play it. Wow, you do make some good speeches though, you related to Glen Beck at all?

It’s true, the Guild Wars 2 gem store is lacking, in what it should have, cosmetics.
I can’t see how it is relevant to the topic though, unless it means Arenanet is restricting us to only a few pieces of gem store items, that’s certainly restricting in a way.

It’s more about taking the forums back from the conspiracy crowd and the non player posters. People need to start calling bullkittin more often on obvious troll threads.

Hmm how does that mentality actually help the public discourse or even any discussion ?

If one was to think that posting of anything semi controversial will eventually be pointless because it will be locked, then the only thing we would end up reading is puff pieces about how Anet is full of rainbows and daisies.

Sorry while yes there are quite a few personal attacks in this thread, its just a simple matter for mods to delete the offensive postings. Granted the heavy handed mods do tend to just close threads instead of modifying them, i think its just out of laziness.

Hello all,

Here is as close to proof as you’re going to get from an individual who spends their time keeping track of and reporting the goings on in the game industry. Enjoy:

http://www.mmorpg.com/blogs/Meleagar/112012/24237_NCSoft-Sold-Arenanet-and-GW2-Out-For-Nexon-Investment

After reading that, perhaps you can begin to see why some people express disappointment in the current direction of this video game. Further, before stating your counter-argument(should you be planning to), please come up with at the least, anecdotal facts to support a counter-theory. Thanks!

Ok… finally I see an explanation for the massive change of game philosophy between GW1, the marketing and manifesto of GW2 and the current state of the game – something in the absence of any explanation from ANet I’ve found puzzling.

The cash shop had the potential to be huge simply by providing an abundance of fluff! Armours, pets, town clothes etc. The problem is it’s full of stale old nothingness and the brilliance of the two way conversions is lost.

Seems to me changing the game won’t help the cash shop but what do I know

Not just personal attacks sir, but identification of someone by personal photo and a couple other pseudonyms on the filename.

This crosses the line on some cyberbullying legislation on the books in local areas, and is in a grey area on things such as inciting to violence/riot, federal harassment laws, civil code regarding defamation, and I believe there are a few other internet and information systems laws as well.

Whoever posted the pictures and started identifying someone beyond their pseudonym on this board will be lucky if they get off with just a ban from the forums.

Hello,

The is already a dedicated thread about the AoE here : Is AoE actually a problem? – Discussion Thread. Furthermore, this thread has derailed with off-topics posting.

Therefore, this one is now closed.
Thank you.
