Why are we doing dailies now?
What do we get that’s worth going all over the place?
Is the “achiever” title worth doing all that stuff we wouldn’t ordinarily go do?

We don’t get Laurels, Mystic Coins, or the other stuff from Dailies anymore.

I’m not complaining. I just want to know why we would do this?

For the cheevos!

Seriously, achievements being used to encourage people to try random things in a game is the only legitimate reason for cheevos to exist that actually helps gameplay. The achievements lead a lot of people to do all the jumping puzzles, or explore more of the map, or try out PvP. They’re simply applying this valid use of achievements to dailies, rather than making them a simple chore. The dailies never made me do anything other than I would usually do, so why make them achievements? They may as well just give me a reward for logging in…

You do get a tiny reward too based on the type of achievement completed, so there’s that. However, the old ‘daily’ rewards have now pretty much been moved over (and improved) to the login rewards. If you did your dailies for the rewards, you’re better off now. If you did it for the cheevos, you can finish them MUCH more quickly than before too.

The dailies are now for cheevos, logging in is for the ‘big’ rewards.

I’m doing them for the rewards and the achievement points.
And even pre-patch I had to interrupt my normal routine sometimes and do things I didn’t like to get the daily.

Usually things like small experience boosts, reward track exp, WvW experience, along with some random other stuff. Nothing huge, but probably worth more than the 5s, 50 luck, and a mystic coin was.

As for what you get with cheevos, you get rewards every 500. Some are small, some are huge (the 5k cheevo thresholds give you quite a large amount of stuff).

The extra track progress jugs from the sPvP dailies seemed pretty good. A little over 1% to the reward track each IIRC from last night.

AP gives you big chests every 500 http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Achievement_rewards

we do get mystic coins form doing our daily, check the rewards

wintersday daily achievements (not the meta, the daily ones) when finished give you 1 extra laurel

check my topic here for some insight about daily rewards before and after the patch

Im getting really tired form all the people that whine about this change without even looking into the actual thing….

I understand many people dont know about the changes, but they could simply ask someone to explain it to them instead of whining and raging about nothing..

New daily achievements give more rewards than the old one, dont like more rewards? dont do them, go farm dungeons or somehting

Ah! The chest awarded after every 500 AP earned.
I was hoping there was some other reasons.

So all that running and doing content we wouldn’t have ordinarily done for the badges of honor and fun boxes and stuff, recieved every 50 days if we do our 10 AP a day.

I’m thinking those Zenith weapon skins and the incomplete pieces of hellfire gear are not enough for me to go do what someone else demands day after day.

There’s still plenty to do, when, where and how I choose. Seems like a loss thou..

I started doing them when they released the armor skins back in 2013. They allow be to experience various facets of the game while earning AP to progress towards the skins that I want. The extra bonus awards for hitting each chest along the way are nice as well.
