I have noticed I can sell many supply bag items for 1s+ on ah, this made me suspicious as to what they could contain but no matter how many I open, it seems more worthwhile to just sell them unopened on the trading post.

Whats the secret here?

A lot of them on average can drop loot worth more than the bag. Heavy Moldy bags can drop tier 6 materials which sell for 20+ silver.

The bags mostly contain crafting materials, and you can generally get bags cheaper than their respective material tier. It’s a bit of a gamble, but if you buy enough at a time, you’ll usually wind up slightly better than if you had purchased the mats directly.

I always open my bags and sell what’s inside; and almost always make more of a profit doing it. Unless yer just in a hurry to go and want to dump stuff out of your inventory fast, selling unopened bags is a suckers’ game.

Yep TP is the worst exploit imo manipulated so darn much inflated 400% and growing. Three months from now it will be 500% if they don’t change things soon.

and RNG went out with EQ why is that still being used again? how is it better to have two more RNG boxes to open for two other currencies?

if you buy , that means the price is acceptable.

As Lalangamena said, flipping doesn’t raise prices; players do. The overwhelming majority of items will settle on a long-term pivot price and it’ll only deviate in fairly predictable cycles as stock is bought and sold over the course of a day.

A good tip if you think an item is overpriced is to wait a few hours and check again. Every item has a high and a low over the course of the day and some cycle pretty fast (Omnoms come to mind).
