Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Note Masterwork (green) has better stats than Fine (blue).

Don’t worry too much about that, you should REALLY save all your transmutation charges for when you are level 80.

Are you referring to the skin? If so, it’s a regional weapon. Each region has their own skin styles that will drop in multiple grades. And yes, it’s partly so you’ll unlock the skin in your wardrobe and possibly use it later.

There are 7 levels of gear quality. Fine is one step below masterwork, so masterwork of the same level is better.

Flesh, judging by the title he/she knows about the stat difference. He/She was wondering why an inferior weapon looked so much better.

Yah, but then the post talked about the green having better stats, so it was a little unclear to me if he meant looks or quality.

Blue is more common, so allows the player to fill their wardrobe initially, whereas green you may cycle out less which promotes transmutation useage, not to mention their dull appearance.

Or they just didn’t care and gave green filler models, same goes for ascended and their filler looks.

The icons for a Fine, Masterwork, Rare, and Exotic Soft Wood Bow are all exactly the same. They also look the same too.

It’s just the skins you see on the trader. Nothing other than random luck. The other skins exist for Masterwork ‘in the wild’.

if you compare a level 35 green to a 36 blue why shouldent the higher level have better stats?

Because its only one level. You need more level difference than that.

Also, the green longbow in the pic is the crafted one if I am not mistaken. They will always be generic. Most of the blue ones are loot bows.

Looks better? That is kinda matter of taste. In my opinion many white quality starter items look much better than most exotics and every ascended.

Looks isn’t tied to quality.
