Yea Right, Shortbow pre nerf didn’t do as much damage as Shortbow on Thief or Rifle on Warrior

Longbow on Ranger is a joke.

Mind you, Warriors have the cheek to ask for Longbow buff !

Longbow is fine for standing atop a building in PvP and firing down at the masses who can’t do anything about it.

In PvE it’s rubbish (barring #5 which can certainly be useful).

Define “pve”, for DE’s i wouldn’t use either a shortbow or a longbow i would use a greatsword. I always thought the Shortbow was the better option but mine now just takes up space in my bag, always have a longbow and Greatsword.

My current auto attack does 1-3k dmg depending on a crit and rapid fire usually tops out between 9-10k although i have seen it go as high as 12k with just me attacking(no food buffs or using signets etc).

Lowest rDPS? Maybe you haven’t been introduced to the engineer; the “2nd best” at everything class.

At least with the rifle our dmg is paltry unless we’re shooting point-blank to use skills 3 and 5 (which sort of defeats the purpose of the rifle’s range)…. the kits is another story.

So, you’re complaining that this patch apparently made your class the worst rdps class….but it would be ok if another class was the worst rdps class?

I ask that because obviously someone has to be the worst at something. So which class did you have in mind, should be the worst rdps of the ranged classes?

Oh and what exactly is a ranged class because, well, rangers can also do melee and have pets and all that? Would be nice if you could clarify what you meant there exactly?

i take down mobs at range just fine...faster than any other class, i play around with

you got a pet, can boost your longbow to 1500 range and reduce the longbow-skills cooldown by 20% with trait skills
you also got your secondary weapon to assist - my choice: sword(get range)+horn(crit-buff)

seems like just another flame-thread to me...please get more information before posting flame-threads

What hes trying to say is stop nerfing things that arent broken, Leave the ranger’s shortbow the way it is.

And stop trolling.
Even JonPeters is looking into the matter with the significantly slower speed that the shortbow is having right now.

Piercing arrows are a lot better.
