Why hammer sticks out so much.
It bears pointing out that the problem is bound to look especially ridiculous on a thin, naked human, rather than a stockier character in heavy armor.
While the second placement is a little extreme, I’m not sure the second is a big improvement. Both hammers are nuts, and I’m not sure there is a placement that wouldn’t be extreme.

Invisible latches. You can hear it click to unlatch when you go to wield it.

no that would make it harder to run. Weighted side up makes it easier to run with.

This isn’t too bad compared to bows. Both long and short. Each one is either tilted differently or higher or lower on the back. Often the bow is nearly vertical and going straight thru your hair.
