Q:

Im talking about the backpiece that you can find in coe.
The rare Version can be sold for 10 Gold.
But who and why is willing to pay 10 gold for a rare backpiece that, when salvaged, gives you stuff worth 1,6 gold at best?
I know the supply is low because most people stopped running dungeons but that still doesnt explain this price.
Its not even part of a collection or something like that.
Anyone got an idea?

Looks like someone bought a large part of the supply and is now relisting them.

It was originally over a thousand. The supply slowly dropped to less than 200 through natural attrition from not enough people doing the dungeon. Looks like someone bought them up and is relisting at the new higher price. He only needs to sell a few of those to break even. After that, it’s pure profit.

As to who would buy it? Idk. Clueless people maybe, who think it’s high priced because it’s worth it.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.
