boon removal and cc. why is it ok for engineers to be unkillable?

Every ele I’ve met melts in a couple seconds. Is this a parody thread? I’m a warrior main if it matters.

If you were unable to kill a particular ele, it does not mean that eles are unkillable.

unfortunately, it’s because they can’t do anything else

to be fair in the game’s current state conditions melt everything
and interestingly conditions is one of the things engineer lacks

For eles it really depends of the build, the more defensive auramancers can be a pain to put down if played right, but the more offensive eles will melt like butter in the middle of a volcanic vent.

I don’t know where the op got that screwball idea, but ele’s are extremely fragile. You sneeze on one, it dies.

3178 hours played on my Elementalist. 1054 deaths. So she dies once every 3 hours on the average. I would hardly call that “unkillable”.

You’re most likely trolling, but you can always play an Elementalist for yourself if you think it’ll make you invincible.

They can die, just not easily and definetly not in a 1v1 scenario. Why is it okay? Cause they can’t also apply pressure. I don’t like tempest’s bunk either but what can we do?

nerfed into uselessness? i dont know what game you have been playing but engineer are some of the best players and pain in the kitten to deal with

Eles are weak to CC + burst. Eles are only unkillable if you let them cast all their active defense and heals. CC them then blow through their 13-14k HP pool.

You’re an engi, they don’t kill Ele’s on point.

Ele is immortal when faced against physical dmg class or team though…

Druids are unkillable.
Engs run around doing whatever they want.
Elementalist can easily die to burst and CC.

Between a good ele and a good engi, I’d rather fight the ele…..

Any competent rev should be able to faceroll a Druid.

Scrapper and Ele will stalemate a Druid.

Warrior, Necro, and Mesmer will win or loose to a Druid.

Druid will faceroll Teef.

Ele is annoyingly tough for a bunker but can’t deal damage so it balances out. They could reduce its sustain but would need to buff its damage… Or throw it in the trash. No one wants that!

Everything has the potential to be close to immortal except necromancers really. You just have to play tanky and play well. Some might even dish out significant damage others can only achieve this by sacrificing damage.

Regardless, this is an issue I begged the balance team to fix and I wish more players would beg them so that pvp requires more decision making and less room for mistakes and recovery gameplay.
