Why is not fixed two mont ago?
1. I’m running an i5 with 8gb of RAM, an msi twin frozr 560 TI and SSD and I get flawless FPS (60 everywhere). Only in WvW with huge numbers on screen does my FPS drop to around 45-50. Unfortunately, there could be dozens of reasons as to why your FPS isn’t good.
2. That’s a little subjective and based on your build. Remember, you can’t be expected to beat every profession 1 on 1 if their build is aimed for something very specific. As for the jumping puzzles, that isn’t really ArenaNet’s problem.
3. Take a ranged weapon.
4. That isn’t true.
5. Crafting gear is excellent especially the Orichalcum jewellery.
1. Computer specs?
2. Thats personal opinion, mesmers and thief are fine atm, I feel that the balance is pretty good (needs smaller tweaks though). Camping jumping puzzles is valid because of the amount of siege plans you get from the chest.
3. Melee works in dungeons, it’s just alot harder. Kinda agree with you there though.
4. The TP is across ALL servers, ofcourse green items will be dirt cheap.
5. What do you mean, most of the crafted stuff is BOE.
5. Crafting gear is excellent especially the Orichalcum jewellery.
Plus you can craft exotic gear with stats that are not available on the karma armors.
1.) Yep, GW2 engine has heavy problems in dense populated areas like cities or WvW and AMD users have even more problems, no excuse here. They simply should have put more effort into optimizing this from the beta, since it makes WvW unplayable.
2.) The “OverPowered” class observation is a subjective and psychological phenomenon that happens in most competitive MMO games. The balance is probably not 100% perfect, but overall is working. If any class would be actually so much overpowered, given the easy nature of sPvP to reroll, every match would be consist of 80% of those “overpowered” classes, which is simply not the case.
- Jumping Puzzles, agree: Why they put PvE content in a “abstract” and isolated PvP gamemode/world is beyond me.
3.) All classes have good and valid range options, simply use them. The main problem i have is that i want to save and redo my traits inside a dungeon, so we can quickly adapt to changing situations.
4.) Yep, agree: GW2 economy/crafting system is badly designed and is basically a re-hash of all the older MMO’s, nothing new here on the base problems, except for massive crafting XP. Wish they would have analyzed EvE-Online or SWG better, for some fresh ideas on a stable and interesting economy.
5.) Yep also agree, except for the endgame exotic items nothing new here, same old crappy system than any other WoWish MMO. The main reasons u craft is for xp and the ability to craft the endgear items, which is pretty bad design indeed.
Maybe this helps: Think of GW2 in terms of investment and “fun” extracted. So for 40$ u get a pretty good game that will entertain u for at least 20-80+ hours, which is quite a good value. The main problem is that many buyers simply expected something “extraordinary”, which is simply not the case. So look at GW2 from a money/fun standpoint and u will realize it has a fantastic ratio. If u expected more than thats your problem for being a little naive and now disappointed.
2. No no no no please. You get 10 points for taking over a point, 10 points for defending. So what’s your point? (pun intented)
1.
Low fps probably caused by CPU , got an i7 920 myself and a comparable framerate.
You can try to overclock it, but I have no idea if it will increase the fps significally.
edit: Turning off reflections gave me a little increase.
2.
I’m happy at the moment.
3.
Depends on which dungeon you’re in I guess but I could say the same about WvW. In large battles I mean.
4.
Got no problem there,. If the vendor wants to give me more money…so be it. Although i’d love to see a reduction in listing and transactions fees.
5.
crafted my one exotic gear an happy with it (so much cheaper :o) )
If I wanted to sell it on the TP i’d still make about 15s per piece.
1 again.
Man i’d love to have a better framerate too :/

@edamber.1549: You got score if you KILL someone at the point. When you are defending the point, but didn’t kill anyone, because the enemy retreats or no one dares to attack you, you got no score. You did a great job, because you kept the point, no one was able to capture it in the entire map, so your reward is: ZERO SCORE! Zergs got a lot more score (and glory!) than players defending/capturing points.
@Vedam.6790: So Core i7 is weak for GW2? :P What kind of CPU I need? Core i999 ?
(I was never got a CPU usage higher than ~45%)
@Kavezacc.7816
No, your CPU is perfectly fine, the limiting factor is your graphic card. the card might be absolutly fine for several other games, but on high settings in big pvp skirmishes, Guild Wars 2 can be very demanding.
4. TP fees and deposits suck but players set the prices in player economy – there isn’t much ANet can do except reduce supply (bots aren’t helping).
5. Wrong. Crafting is never guaranteed money but even in GW2 there’s money to be made with it.
5) If you look at crafting as a method to make money, it doesn’t work because everyone can do it. If you look at crafting as a design decision to insure that all players have access to exotic gear, it looks good because everyone can do it. I am in group 2.
Hi Guys!
What is your opinion? Why it is not fixed two month ago, and will be fixed in the future?
There are some problems:
1. FPS issues-This is really fun when i have got 20 FPS in PVP, in WvW sometimes 15 (low graphics with 8GB RAM, Core i7)
I have (the highest spec, overclocked) i5 and 8Gb RAM and haven’t dropped below 45 fps as far as I’ve seen.
2. PVP Ballance- There is not Ballance:
-SPVP: The mesmer and Thief is really OverPowered
-WvW: The Jumping Puzzles are impossible, because a lot of kid who have spend them all day there, and sometimes the Invisible Well is camped, and they are spamming the AOE and the Invisibility buff is gone when i hit by the awesome AOE, so this is impossible
Your complaint is people PvPing in the WvW zone? Wow.
3. PVE: -The Dungeons are unballanced for Melee Characters, because of all ranged professional is better for dungeons. There is lot of boss what can be hit by ranged DPS-s.
Tell me… which class has 0 ranged attacks? They can all use ranged if the situation requires it.
4. Trading Post: -I got more money for the items 99% in the game if i sell it to vendor than i sell it in Trading Post
Why should the TP have a higher price for every single item? the TP is powered by the community who post every single buy & sell order on there. If the community doesn’t want it, why would they pay more than the vendor price?
This is only a “problem” because you think you should sell everything on the TP. I’ve never used an AH like that in any MMO.
5. Crafting: The crafting is unnecessary, because the items which you craft you can’t sell in TP, you only can sell it to vendors, and the crafted items are worse than Dungeon’s Exotic or the Karma gear
Thank You for the answers.
Sry for my English.
Crafting should never be “necessary”. No one should be required to craft.
Besides, all items of the same level, rarity and combination of stats have the exact same stats. A crafted item with +power, +precision and +crit damage will have exactly the same stats as a dungeon / legendary / cultural / looted weapon of the same level and rarity which also gives +power, +precision and +crit damage.
in the list of developers I have the least faith & trust in.
Congratulations ArenaNet!
@1
reduce everything to a minimum (resolution too). you probably won’t get a big increase in fps.
Your CPU won’t be at 100% if it’s limiting your performance.
Is your graphic card at 100%? If it is..well yep than it’s probably the graphics card.. if not .. chances are it’s the CPU.
Search the forum or google it. I found “answers” too…but if you find anything about someone playing with high fps and an i7 .. send me a pm
so long
