Guild Wars 2

Was it simply to sell units? I bought the follow up to Guild Wars because, well, it had Guild Wars (GvG). This game doesn’t have that, so is it just selling units off the previous successor’s popularity?

This is a legitimate question, I would like to see an official response though I highly doubt I ever will since the direction now being taken further removes this game from it’s PvP roots.

Guild Wars was an event prior to the first game.

Because it is the successor of Guild Wars 1. And it uses the same lore, continuing the story of Guild Wars 1.

Seriously? Guild wars is an EVENT happent in the game’s lore and that is what guild war 1 lore was starting out of afaik. And guild wars 2 is continuing the lore of guild wars 1 meanwhile guild wars1 is still filling in between.

Name is not about the what players can do.

Actually, GvG is the reason for the original’s name. Guild Wars was originally going to be a PvP only game. Then they added the PvE and added lore to fit the game name.

Why doesn’t that page exist? Well as an editor states: I’m left wondering why this is here and further support for deletion. The fact that this is an exact copy of the gww article only helps shows that there’s little to no relevance to GW2.
