There’s no point being grown-up if you can’t be childish sometimes.

Q:
Hey all,
I run a Burning Guardian so a lot of jump in the middle of the frey, swing my GW and torch everything
So the set stats available to me are Pwr, ConDam & Vitality which are great and seem to work however it is not optimal IMO.
What I really want is a set who’s stats are Pwr, ConDam & Toughness.
So the question is this, Is this combo of stats not available because it causes an imbalance in builds or was it just not a combo thought necessary?
Thanks,
Jag

You can mix and match.
On my toon, all of my armor is pow-prec-tough… while all of my jewelry is pow-vit-cond dmg.
It provides a very nice mix, imo.

TY for your response.
However, it really does not solve the issue.
Sure I can go with Power, Toughness & Vitality on gear and Power, Condition Damage & Vitality on my gems but I no mater what way I mix it up I will sacrifice Condition Damage.
Any of the other mixes are worse IMO I would gain the Condition Damage but loose Power for some other stat I do not need.
Again what I have is working but I would rather be able to take more damage then to have more life.

I assume they do it so you can’t have ‘everything’. If you want to do a lot of damage, you have to sacrifice some defense, and vice versa…. tank vs. glass cannon, as it were.
With my warrior build, I didn’t want to be a glass cannon… sure I could pump out more damage, but a dead toon does zero damage.
So I put in a good mix of everything and am surprised how viable it is. I can dish out really good damage and I also have surprising survivability.
I think this is what they were going for… balance.
Also, you have to be conscious of condition damage yourself… toughness does not mitigate it… vitality helps with that. So again, a mix of toughness and vitality is best.
Yes,
That was my assumption that it was a balance issue and I don’t want to be one of those who want there cake and eat it too.
Oh well I will continue jump into the frey burn all before me and dodge, dodge oh and did it say dodge.

I was unaware that toughness did not mitigate Condition Damage. Kinda makes sense but it did not cross my mind
If you have a lot of condition removal abilities, you can trade some vitality for toughness.
Yes this is true and there is some of that inherent in the Guardian Build its self and you can build for it to in the Trates.
