Why no extra rewards for doing 9/5 dailies?
More achievement points and of course the EXP you gain from completing one.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I remember reading something along the same lines – that if you choose to do more, you will get bonus rewards
I would love it if you could get an extra laurel for completing ALL available daily objectives.
LOL!, the minute they do that and have both PvE and WvW options in dailies at the same time…

You do get extra rewards. You get 20 extra achievement points and an extra 30k xp.
If they gave you anything else people would be crying bloody murder about how they were “forced” to do all 9 and how it isn’t fair because they can only play 12 minutes a day and should be given all the same rewards.

i was thinking about more silvers or karma jugs or mystic coins or even laurels.
i tried searching their blog post for what they wrote earlier but it seem like it was edited.

More people still not getting the concept of optional. If there was a big reward for doing all of them, they would no longer be optional.
You do get experience though, that’s enough.

This last update was supposed to get away from the “but I don’t want to do kill variety/crafting/healer” crowd who were upset at the second format, and the people who still weren’t happy at the fixed first system acting as a fixed checklist of things to get done.
So now we get offered what amounts to the cafeteria menu of the day.

But you would see loads of people coming to complain it’s no longer “optional” if it gives you a Laurel. Even now people have to pick activities, as the game simply offers more things to do than most people, even hardcore players, can do in any single day. WvW, sPvP, Dungeons, Fractals, Dailies, Dynamic Events, Gathering…they all -already- compete for your time. That something has got a reward waiting for you doesn’t mean you -can- do it all. An expanded daily would just be yet another thing to do in GW2.
If they gave any other rewards beyond experience and achievement points, it would be unfair to the people who choose to only do 5, and go against the whole purpose of “choose your own daily”. If you felt compelled to do all 9 because of the bonus rewards, it would invalidate the entire reason that there are 9 in the first place.
This is working as intended, and good for everyone right now.

And even if you gave Coin and Karma, people would still feel they were being coerced into doing it because a tangible reward was being offered. That’s really the point for the change from the previous two systems to begin with; people wanted variety, then they wanted choice.
I got two dailies on 2-27,
finished the first one, we had a new build and the daily reset. Finished it this morning.

People were complaining about being able to choose 5 out of a list of daily achievements, calling it a “grind.” What do you think will happen if ArenaNet rewards those with something other than achievement points and experience for doing all 9?
People will keep busting out the grind card and throw more personal insults at ArenaNet.

Extra Karma would be fine as long as it was more or less the amount you’d get from doing an event. Killing 25 aquatic creatures takes about the same amount of time as a lot of events, so it would be fairly even.
Enough to justify doing it for some people but not enough to make it feel like you need to do it.
If you got extra from the left overs people would be inclined to do the entire thing, thus rendering the “pick your daily” completely useless, and just making the daily even longer.

some extra silvers, mystic coins & karma would be nice.

6/5 – 1 silver
7/5 – 1 mystic coin
8/5 – Drop of Liquid Karma (400 karma)

The new pick your own system is very nice. I hope they don’t add any more rewards for 9/5 because as others have noted above then 9 just becomes the new daily and it’s no longer a pick your own system. What they’ve got now is a good approach.

If anything was going to be offered as a bonus for 9/9? I’d make it a Black Lion Key and that’s it. No Karma, no Silver. Small, sweet, not too unbalancing.
And that’s if I was convinced it was needed. I’m not. I’m convinced it’s a terrible idea to put even the smallest carrot up after the 5/9 Daily mark, because then people will think they have to do it to stay ahead of other people. I’m not sure if you’re just not quite getting that or you’re focused on your own desire for a reason to go further . . . but . . .

You do get more reward for putting in more effort. Achievement points will eventually be converted into laurels (or for accruing laurels) and extra exp is always a plus (I can convert exp into other useful stuff).
I don’t know how to explain this any clearer, as other people have already explained. You do get more stuff, for doing more stuff. Pretty weak of you to not understand.

This thread makes me feel sick. Seriously, why are we begging for more carrots on sticks. There are way too many of them in this game.

The entire point of the system is to allow people to feel like they can choose what to do. If you offered more reward, people would once again feel obligated to do the entire line of dailies. This is not the intention of the design.
Please remember that choice is an illusion. Remember that the original daily was also completely optional, but because there was a reward at the end of it, people took that to mean mandatory, and acted as if it was such. The community politely asked (Obviously kidding. Whined and begged.) for a choice, for more freedom of play, and ANet has installed a system where there’s an illusion of choice. Hey, if that makes people happy, why not?
Annnnd now if you ask for rewards to be tagged onto the end again, you remove the illusion ONCE AGAIN, and the whole cycle starts over. So please. It doesn’t matter how insignificant you think the reward is, even though some of the suggestions in the thread here suggest hilariously significant rewards.
The extra 1 achievement point and some EXP are enough. The current revamp is a functional method of incorporating casual gamers into GW2.
Edit: I just realized all the suggestions were made by the same person, thankfully, which makes me feel a little better.

Id agree that giving an extra laurel or coin for completing all the achievements kind of deflates the whole idea behind achievements being selectable.
More hero points and xp is good enough for me, as when i havnt got a lot of time to play on work days i wouldnt feel i was missing out massively if i didnt complete them all.

Take some time to actually read what anet said. They specifically said that you can complete all achievements for a extra bonus of achievement points.

Look up on the wiki what they’re used for. The recipes call for a fair amount to be used, so I’m not actually SURE how many are still out there.
