Hi.
I did few world bosses: Caledon Jungle Wurm, Claw of Jormag and etc..
and their rewards were completely poor than dungeon reward. (especially gold reward. it was only few silver..)

so I just wonder, why people play world bosses? Is there other valuable merits?

Past a certain level on a character (don’t remember the specific level) you will be awarded a guaranteed rare from a boss once per day. People do world bosses for this rare since they can get ectoplasms from it or sell it for some quick silver. That and the dragonite ore, fragments, and bloodstone are other reasons why people do them.

You also have chances of getting rare skins depending on the boss (Final Rest from Shadow Behemoth for example) that are worth a bit of gold or getting a chance of a precursor.

Sometimes people do it because they happen to be in the area. Also, it can be a lot of fun, especially if you haven’t done it before (or even if you have). Never overlook the value of doing something as part of a group.

Because players have secretly always wanted to be in a flash mob and this way they can maintain some dignity.

I believe it is Level 40 and above for the Rare, and Level 80 for some of the high level mats.

World boss train is very similar to hanging out in town except you’re generating salvage and mats while you spam map chat instead of standing around.

don’t they have achievement/daily/something for world bosses (not sure), not to mention higher level bosses is not as easy as low level boss you mention, i’m just a new player around lv. 50 content, but i’ve seen people actually failing around that level’s world boss(es), not sure about even higher level content.

Dragonite ore seems to be the most common reason.

Each boss has a guaranteed rare or above daily bonus chest, and the ground chest additionally has a very high chance at rares or above.

Tarnished Coast Engineer and… general alt-o-holic.

For the toast!
