I had one daily remaining to complete my pve monthly and it gets reset….lame.

Daily and monthly rewards have changed. This puts everyone on equal footing and lets everyone get the new rewards.

They took a couple of the monthly achievements out, and if you had already done them you just lose that progress.

I went from 2/4 last night to 0/4 today.

Will the early completers be able to do a second monthly with this?

Nice of them to let us know in advance. Why even have different categories for 4 days only to invent new ones now?

That’s really lame. I also had one more daily and I was done. Not a good start for this patch.

So if I completed my monthly then I have to do mine again ? That seems kinda lame .

Kind of disappointed. Considering I was 3/4 and was just waiting for patch. Oh well.

Well this is a little…..aggravating…..and I was almost done too. Sitting at 3 of 4 last night, guess I’ll have to check when I log in tonight.

Same for me. Since I’m not at home, I have no way to check which monthlies got taken out. Anyone able to list them?

If you’ve already completed your monthly, you don’t HAVE to do it again, you GET to do it again, for another 10 laurels and the extra achievement points, etc. I’m pretty kitten ed that I was gated by 1 day for mine, because I was sitting with 1 more daily and I would have been done as well.

Just so you know, the reason it was reset is because you can get some crafting items from the monthly. For those that did the monthly in 2 days because of the invasion, it would have sucked for them to not get the new crafting items. So it was a matter of hearing from those that did complete it early and didn’t get a chance to get the new crafting items or from those that were almost done but still have 28 days left to finish it.

Yeah, I have to agree that this is really bad. If they wanted to add new things, they should have ADDED NEW THINGS, not taken away old things that we’d already been working on for a few days. This is poor practice and the removed options should be added back.

Or swapped them out at the reset, when everyone was starting fresh anyway.

They should have warned us for this! Then at least I could have finished my monthly in time!!

I’m furious right now, not to mention it’s completely unfair because the people who already completed their monthly since they will get their monthly reward twice now!

So the people who completed their monthly in the past 3 days got 10 extra laurels? And the people who were at 2 out of 4 for champions/group events are now at 0/4 and SoL? This seems like bad communication and bad implementation on anet’s part, why not just give people who’ve already done their monthly the crafting rewards?

ANet should have had a check to see what players had already completed the monthly and given the ascended mats to the account via mail. But that’d require actual thought and consideration, and that doesn’t generate gem sales, so we can see why they didn’t.

People stating you still have plenty of time. That’s not the point. Their grief relates to spending time relating to achieving monthly and then losing said achievement. They could had spent a good portion trying to get those, to be lost.

I feel for those peeps. And no I don’t want to debate about this.

i’ll never understand wtf u care about those who got more laurels than you, who is greedy now? and i was 3/4 like most of us, i also tought was unfair to get monthly in 3 invasions btw

You guys better not let people who rushed the monthly get two sets of laurels. You’ve already removed progress from those who hadn’t finished, but it will seriously be a bad move if you doubly reward others.

This makes zero sense. These monthlies have been in rotation before. There are other ways to achieve them besides the invasions.

I guess the time I spent on my holiday yesterday getting most of the monthly done was just a pure waste of time.

The issue is more the removal of progress for the monthly, with no warning. The fact that those who finished are getting double monthly rewards is just salt in the wound.

What Anet should’ve done:

Make 4/4 Monthly completed reward the usual 10 laurels.

Make the Monthly Achievement “Monthly Completionist” (You completed your daily category 4 times in a month) reward the essence of luck, because no one could have possibly finished that yet until later today.

I really couldn’t give a rat’s kitten about people getting the monthly twice – all power to them in fact.

What gets my goat is that my progress in the ‘master crafts’ has been wiped before completion. In order to make those crafts, I salvaged all my stored loot for mats. As a pretty casual player, that stash took a couple of months to collect, 2-300 salvages in all.

Just to salt the wound, it seems that the master craft category has been replaced by the 500 salvages one, which I very much doubt I’ll be able to complete from scratch within the month.

Pretty kitten ed off right now.

OMG just this morning I woke up early to play before work and finished the last 10 or so champions for my monthly just in case this happened! I love when sloppy code benefits me!
