Why would you nerf the spirit weapons?
Necro and engi minions don’t last forever? They take damage and die.
Engineer turrets die extremely quickly if enemies target them.
I will admit, necro minions are extremely durable.
If you are gonna let those mesmer, necro, and engi minions last forever, at least do the same for guardians. I am not proud to say that spirit weapons suck now.
A Mesmer’s clones/phantasms, a Necro’s minions & an Engineer’s Turrets are all destructible.
As for Spirit Weapons, haven’t they all always been bad, apart from Shield in certain PvE situations?

hahaha spirit weapons suck now? They have sucked from the word go. They have never been a viable build for a Guardian in any situation. Proof? No one uses them . . . Fortunately I believe I read that Anet are addressing this in the upcoming patch. Fingers crossed anyway, would be a nice mechanic to play around with if they were viable

New elite, signet of spirit weapons.
The spirit weapons were one of the things that drew me to the class to begin with. Of course in beta, didn’t really know how bad they actually were.
Thankfully I also enjoy support and the shout build works for me too.
I would use them if they did enough damage/utility to justify such a long cooldown, they were more durable for such a long cooldown, they didn’t take quite so much dedication in the trait lines to get full potency.
Spirit weapons have some usage in fractals, but that’s about it.

There was a point in which people used the hammer on guardian in pvp because it would knock you back every 4 seconds. But that’s since been fixed.

To be fair, there’s still a difference. Minions and Turrets die, but only by damage. Otherwise they’ll last forever (well, turrets technically have a time limit but its very generous and basically just a way to keep people from throwing down a bunch of turrets with the self-repair trait, moving their character to safety, and AFK-farming events and such). Spirit Weapons have a very short timer on them before they’re forced to die, and on top of that they also take damage and die that way as well.
It was one of the things they didn’t really think through when they made the change in the first place, IMO. The timers were put into place (most likely) specifically because the spirit weapons couldn’t be damaged, so they had to expire somehow. But then they changed them to damage-able and left the timers there anyway.
Not that removing the time limit would magically make them amazing or anything, but it would be nice if they didn’t have an artificial half-life on them in addition to taking damage and dying pretty quickly. If you can manage to keep them alive through healing or active damage mitigation it’d be nice if they didn’t just poof on their own anyway.

Maybe in hot joins, but never in tournament PvP.
Having 4 petting zoo classes is not enough ? Now we only need to make warrior’s banners float in the air and attack people and every class will be AI based .
Guardians can have the Ranger pet if they are so desperate for AI. We don’t even want ours.
