Right now, AP chests have a PvP skin box inside of them that gives you about 6 PvP skins. Which I’ve always just deposited into my PvP locker because I don’t PvP. But on 4/15 those skins will become available for me in PvE, which is awesome.

My question is, will AP chests opened after 4/15 have a box in them containing skin unlocks, much like the old chests did?

I am guessing not. But, no one really knows at this point.

It would be just typical if anet removed them just when they become usefull for PvE.

All PvP items are being removed, so there won’t be skin unlocks for achievement points anymore; unless they add a new way to distribute skins.

He means what happens to the PvP reward boxes he has sitting in the bank when 15th hits.

If he doesn’t open them I would bet that it would be destroyed as well and he would receive no skins at all.

Literally all pvp items are being removed. So if you have boxes, open them up now.

I believe the OP is asking if we will still receive PvP chests in our Achievent Point reward chests. If we do, I doubt they will still have armor/skins in them. Perhaps, they will have tokens, though. Or some other PvP currency.

All PvP items are being removed. This includes PvP tokens, only gold is awarded in PvP now. And skins are now distributed in reward tracks.

Seeing as they didn’t compensate in the achievement chest for Glory Booster, it would not surprise me if they just added random loot junk in its place.

I’d be curious for an answer as well. I have a 9.500 rank chest I just received last night that I am concerned with opening so close. I could see it going either way. Open it now and get dupe skins I can neither salvage nor use. Open it after the 15th and get…nothing.

Why can’t you salvage the duplicate skins? I just salvaged a bunch of them a couple of days ago. Put the mats in the forge and got a couple more skins.

I opened all the PvP chests I had. Just open them and save the items/skins until the 15th so you get them as skins.

Ahh, well, I got everything I needed from salvaging, I guess. Or maybe those rabbit-foot things came from the AP chests? I don’t know, as I only ever got anything associated with PvP from the AP chests.

I don’t think Glory has been removed yet, just Glory Boosters for sale. Because I still have unspent Glory. Lol. Just not enough to buy anything (197 Glory, or so.) Ha.

I think you get a chance for tokens on salvage. Lucky

We can’t get pvp salvage kits anymore, correct?
Gotta remember this weekend to open all those pvp item chests from my ap rewards. Hopefully I don’t get too many duplicates (knowing my luck more than half will be ><)

Would be nice if Anet would give us an official answer… I don’t want to open my chests now and get a bunch of unusable junk (like the glory booster I got 2 days before glory boosters became worthless, to toss on my stack of 100 other glory boosters), but if the chest are going away, better to open now and get skins than nothing later.
