I’m just curios if China will get the living world content we have had. My favorite so far has to be the Bazaar. Solely due to it being an amazing new zone to explore.

Would you as a player want to see any of the living world content if you were to play on the Chinese client?

The builds in China and NA/EU will be synchronous. Season 1 will be part of the lore of Tyria in both builds. The Chinese players will experience season 2 like the players in EU/NA.

I wish they would restructure Living Story season 1 into Personal Story 2.0, was kinda hoping they would do this for China release but it looks like they won’t.

The main thing that turns me off about LS is a complete lack of replay value.

That is the problem with a Living World – complete lack of replay. Either you get a static world or you get a Living World – one or the other.

It doesn’t have to be like that. There are certain instances where you could replay boss battles or dungeon segments, I think it just depends on whether or not the story is complete enough with just that to make it worth doing. I’m going to hazard a guess that it is not.

That is the problem with a Living World – complete lack of replay. Either you get a static world or you get a Living World – one or the other.

If they built more fractal content based on the living world, perhaps as a selectable grouping we could get the best of both.

Is is sort of funny. They won’t get most of the content of the last 14 monthes, and it doesn’t even matter.

Tells you stories about the value of the stuff of the LS.

Only if they kittened off the gods and are subsequently punished.

Why would we care? The Chinese servers are completely separate from ours.

Does that mean that they will start with LA in ruins, and every time they go to the instanced personal story version of LA, it will be back to normal?
Same for our new characters, but without any living story to (barely) explain what the kitten is going on?

Season 1 was just a prologue for EU/NA (lucky us) to keep us occupied until China/Asia jump aboard for season 2, the main event hopefully…

LA is not back to normal in the personal story version of the map currently.

As for LA starting in ruins, that is most likely the case. Just as how the Dragonbrand already existed when we started playing and so on.
Scarlet and her attacks are simply part of the history of Tyria for them.

LA in personal story is also in ruins.

I love how there is no replay right now. It makes the game feel much more alive than anything I’ve played before. I missed certain ones, too bad for me. I love how that stuff is in the past now and it impacts where the future will be. If we could replay it anytime it wouldnt feel as meaningful to me to have gone through each story I did.
