Guild Wars 2

So ive finally been able to play 1-2hrs everyday. I used to only play on weekends some weeks. Anyways ive noticed the lack of dungeon groups available. For the last two weeks i have not yet been able to join an arah group or create my own. The two times i have had a group they have been pretty bad like spending an hour to get to lupi and then someone would leave. Ive also been unable to get a group for hotw. Maybe its the time that i play at but i dont really think that should matter when i should be able to play as i want(JK).
anyways just wanted to know if Anet plans to make any changes because im starting to get really bored of running cof coe, and ac. Its like back when cof farming was still possible except with 3 different easy dungeons instead of one.

In less than a week, you might not have problems getting groups for dungeons, in-game. =)

Also, I am not sure what you mean by ‘make dungeons account-bound’. Sorry.

yup i use those to get groups when no one in my guild wants to do a run. Arah and hotw rarely come up and when they do they are either when im already in a dungeon or are filled. They used to come up more often before the patch. and i know im not the only one who has trouble getting groups for dungeons nowadays.

Lol, I still have no idea what you mean by either ‘account-bound’ or ‘character-bound’. Do you mean the loot? The tokens? Are they now account-bound? I would assume tokens were/are. Again, sorry.

Oh…i guess that would help me bc then i wouldnt have to keep refreshing gw2lfg. still wish they would make it character bound though…all my guild mates finish dungeons right at reset.

I don’t think “character bound” means what you think it means, because your usage of it doesn’t really make any sense… whether an item or a reward is character bound or account bound doesn’t relate to the ease of forming dungeon groups.

i think it does because if a dungeon is account bound people will only run it once per day. However if someone has more than one character they are willing to run it again especially if they want to get some armor/weps. people in guilds are also more willing to help out because they will still get a reward

Ah you’re talking about the rewards and being able to grind the same dungeon repeatedly the same day.

But if your complaint is that you’re bored of only finding parties for the same 3 dungeons.. wouldn’t removing the restrictions on the rewards make players even more likely to only farm the same few dungeons?

you won’t have an easier time finding a party for arah if everyone’s back to just farming the fastest dungeon all day.

I understand that people might farm the same dungeon over and over again. But it would only be people with enough alts. And anet could restrict how many times you could do that so you would only get rewards if you run it with 3 alts, no more. That way people still have an incentive to do a dungeon again in the same day. And people still farm cof for ascended mats because you get it every run. By limiting it to alts very few people would actually be able to farm dungeons repeatedly.

Maybe next week you will find people that actually run dungeons just for the fun-filled experience. You can ask for that when you list which dungeon you would like to run! =)

I’ve been putting off finishing my personal story for months now, because I’ve listened to all the nightmare tales of trying to find a group for it.

Why anet why did you make the last freaking personal story a dungeon?! sniffle

lol i havent finished my story either….although i did get a group for arah story mode once a long time ago (it wasnt worth it though)

You can already do dungeons twice a day without DR kicking in: once before the daily reset at GMT 00:00:00 and once after. All depending on your location and available playtime of course.

They used to be character bound (rewards). Somewhere along the way Anet changed it to account bound…remember they do not like alts. So where we used to get full reward per character now we only get full rewards once a day (game day) per account.

That change took a lot of players out of dungeons. Without the incentive from alts players rarely run paths more than once per day. So if they have already run it by the time you get one chances are mostly they will no longer be willing to join a group for it again till reset.

Imo they have handles alts very poorly in this game. From dungeon, fractals, dailies, wvw, to acsended, alts are definitely not encouraged.

You can do dungeons twice for one day. The next day you can only do it once without dr because you already used up the dungeons from the previous day. And i play at night anyways so that wouldnt work anyways (reset is at 5 for me)
