Will "Excessive Messaging" be tweaked?
Yeah it really does get in the way.
Especially annoying in WvW when you announce “Charge in 10 Sek.” and then countdown to 0 only to get caught in the spam filter by the time you reach 3 and the whole thing falls apart.
It makes up for some fun sitiuations though:
‘kitten we all need to say random stuff, so the commander can give his orders again’
’I’m hungry’
‘Me too’
lol?
Also the spam filter doesn’t work at all for real spammers. When I see someone advertising gold sellers in LA their message is like this
<random 4-5 chars alphanumeric code>[The actual message]<random 4-5 chars alphanumeric code>.
They just change the code at the beginning and end of the message and they can spam as long as they want.

This doesn’t have to be something that is ruined because of botters.
And why does

repeated 100 times not get excessive messaging?
Why not make it so that if a person repeats AND gets reported for spamming, then they get excessive messaging.
Or during a dungeon run, I was trying to pass out food buffs to my guildies. I was mailing each of them, but when I went to mail food to the third person: “Message suppressed due to excessive messaging”. So, only 3 of us got food buffs. I think I much preferred the WoW suppression system where being auto-suppressed seemed to require that a certain number of players had to manually report you first.
I agree, this has been frustrating people (including me) so many times. Roleplayers who aren’t spamming at all have constantly run into it, and it really isn’t helping anyone; quite the contrary. Please, PLEASE change this system as it does more harm than good.
