I have had the Flameseeker prophecies since before any legendaries really had decent looking visual effects.

In over the last 2 years I have seen almost every other legendary receive improvements, skill animations and subtle buffs like auras and footsteps.

The Flameseeker prophecies has gotten none of this and is constantly overshadowed by even the underwater weapons which are rarely ever seen.

It continues to look bland and does little more than most other shields.

So devs, can you let me know if it will ever get an improvement? I’ve skinned over it with other more impressive shields for the last 6 months but I’d really love my legendary to inspire the awe that it really should, especially being such a lore centric item.

Flameseeker is the best looking skin imo. It does need some kind of buff to its aura or something though. As does howler and the bard

Personally I am happy with how flameseekers looks at the moment, I think it was supposed to be one of the more subtle legendaries with less effects than something like twilight or the dreamer and I think it should stay that way- it is good to have the option to still have a legendary if you do not like such in-your-face effects and auras.

I’d be happy if it just had a footfall effect myself maybe scattered pages or text on the ground or something.

If not that then maybe an aura deal just make the projection that the shield has a full body effect.

Flameseeker Prophecies is the prettiest Legendary because it doesn’t have all auras and footprints and other Las Vegas light show nonsense.

Be proud wielding it! I always admire it when I see it. I wish I had one of my own. The other “legendary” users tend to look like carnival clowns with all the particle effects drawing the emphasis away from the beauty of the weapon itself.

I say “No!” No change to Flameseeker Prophecies! It’s the only Legendary worth showing off as-as!

Only legendary i am interested in getting. My only issue with it is that there are no classes which have pure offensive shield skills.

Hundreds of hours of zerker farming to get a legendary, then no zerker the shield can be useful for -.-

i’ve been saying this for years, but i still think it would be so cool if the flameseeker prophecies left burnt runes or tyrian letters in the ground as you walked. maybe a faint aura as well since it’s hard to tell you have it equipped when sheathed.

flameseeker is definitely one of my favorite legendaries even as is, i just wish shield was a more popular weapon.

I like it as it is. It has style. No need for all flashy foot print nonsense

The beauty about The Flameseeker Prophecies, is that it’s the only legendary with some kind of lore tied to it.

It’s the prophecy Glint saw.

The Flameseeker Prophecies are a collection of proclamations foreseen by the dragon Glint in 272 AE in Guild Wars Prophecies. They are a collection of predictions concerning the future of Tyria and the survival of humans in the face of great and terrible events that would engulf their world.

The exact wording of the prophecies is unknown. Glint seems to be the only one fully aware of it, though the White Mantle (through the Mursaat), Vizier Khilbron, Turai Ossa, and Meerak the Shouter seem to know at least some of it as well. Along with a few Ascalonian ghosts.

It’s the only legendary with this deep and very long story behind it, it being named after the very first Guild Wars game.

That, is truly legendary.

That’s what the pages says that sits on the book. It’s such a fine crafter legendary with so much motives and detail.

I don’t want glowy kitten on my shield, thanks.
