Will GW1 ever go on sale again?
As far as I’m aware you can still get Hall of Monuments rewards. You can certainly still play GW1 and obtain the items and titles needed and add them to the Hall. I’ve not heard anything about it not carrying over the GW2. I think the calculator on the website stops working periodically, but that just makes it harder to know what you’ve got and what else you need to do.
Do you want all the reward items or only certain ones? If you only want the armour you could buy the Platinum Edition (which is Prophecies + Eye of the North) from the official site for £12.99. I assume it’s a similar amount in other currencies but can’t get it to display them for me.
That gives you everything you need to get at least the first few points. The GW1 wiki has a really helpful guide to how to get them: https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide_to_earning_Hall_of_Monuments_rewards

I have always wanted some of those herritage armor pieces but buying all 4 expansions at once seems a bit too much, plus I heard achievements at HoM are no longer working.
Any ideas on when was the previous sale?
Not true. HoM is working just fine. Just last month I finished my 50/50 for the Champion of the Gods title in GW2 and got it as soon as I logged into GW2.
As far as buying all four of the original games/expansion. You can get them all at http://store.guildwars.com/store/gw/cat/categoryID.67871700. One of them Guild Wars Trilogy which has all three original games. You would have to by EOTN separately.

I am aware of this store’s existance, thanks.
What I wanted to know is when was the last time they put Guild Wars 1 on sale, to know if I should try waiting for sale on all expansions or just give up and buy separate pieces I want.
Steam has sales of it occasionally, don’t think ANET themselves ever do so.
Oh you mean on sale as in at a discounted price?
As far as I know the official site has never done that, although they might have reduced the price over the years.
If you want it cheaper your best bet is probably to look at other retailers (and in that case look for the Completion Edition if you can find it) as they may well have it for much less, either because of a sale or because they automatically reduce the price on old games. It’s also available through Steam and I think they often do their own sales.

Sorry, your OP didn’t specify that you meant at a discounted price. Without naming names which we are not supposed to do, I’ve occasionally seen it at a reduced price online at various places.
Think i saw nightfall for a fiver on Amazon they are an official retailer for guild wars so thats safe to get from.
Also, add the games to your steam wishlist and they will alert you for sales.
I dont remember if GW1 has been on sale on the website in recent memory, i suspect it hasnt.
Keep in mind that the marketplace on Amazon likely does not count as it coming directly from Amazon. This is where you are seeing these low prices and don’t be surprised if some turn out to not be legit whether that be fake keys or keys originally purchased using stolen credit cards.
Check some of the Authorized Retailers websites. I just looked at GameStop, and there were copies available for $8 (for Trilogy) to $15 (for Prophecies). Availability at local stores may vary. (22 stores with available copies in my area.)

Prob. I saw it only briefly and didn’t look into it since I already own them.
I’ve never had problems with buying from Amazon marketplace sellers. But then I always make sure to buy from someone with a clear, complete description of the item (in this case I’d either way it new & sealed or a specific statement that the code is unused) and with a high rating as a seller.
And if anything does go wrong Amazon do have policies in place to protect you and get your money back.

I have not seen I on sale for years. And given that GW1 is no longer worked on, the box sales for GW1 are the only income ANet gets from it, your best chance of seeing it on. Sale though might be during a Steam SALE. Almost everything is marked Down is there sales. So you could look there. But to be fair, GW1 is not that expensive for what you get.
