Was just exploring and I jumped and fell into and area I couldn’t get out of. Not sure how I got in there even since there was ceilings, floors, and walls all around. Got stuck so bad that I had no way out and had to waypoint out. Someone said he saw me get stuck and then vanish and accused me of wall hacking. Said he was reporting and his guild would report too of like 200 people. Am I gonna get banned?

You won’t be banned for this because it doesn’t involve you making gold. However once you do start making money you can bet your bottom.

Can you remember from where exactly you jumped and reproduce the bug?

If so then screenshoot that too and write a bug report.

Even if you wall hacked you wouldn’t get banned. Their logs aren’t that detailed and they aren’t going to ban someone on eye witness testimony alone, considering how much of kitten players can be and the majority of “eye witness” anything in MMOs are made up lies by someone who hates another person. Even if a bunch of folks do it, it looks suspicious if they are all from the same guild.

At most you would get watched like a hawk by someone to see if you “wall hack” again.

Also, too bad there’s a ban on naming and shaming because whoever that was sounds like a bit of tool.

How many people out there would “report” someone for an offense they didn’t even witness, just because a guildie gave them a name? Is their integrity really that lacking?

If anything, I would hope the people who “reported” you based on word of mouth would face consequences for it. This is abuse of the reporting function. ANet can look up their chat logs and locations at the time of the incident, and verify for themselves that they didn’t really see you do anything.

I’ve been at the bottom of Rata Sum running around… Nothing to be afraid of… I’ve also been on top of a cave so I could see through the ceiling. Though, there is little chance that by doing that would be in advantage since I got myself stuck…
