Guild Wars 2

I am considering transferring my guild to another server. We currently have nearly all upgrades unlocked. If we transfer will we have to start from scratch?

Currently that is my understanding, and I must say, this stinks. My guild is small but active, we worked hard for those and would rather just scrap the guild and join a larger one then start from nothing.

Has anyone else run into this. Should the mechanics be changed?

If you transfer servers you start from 0 again.

Here’s something I learned while tinkering on my bank guild: I log on my 5 different characters who are representing and guild gains 10 per. Now do this with a large guild every day…

Anyrate, do agree. Wish you could transfer the guild plus the upgrades but with a long CD on the transfer so you can’t move about all willy nilly like we can right now. I think this might be a sort of detremental part of transfering so you would think twice about it. Move to new server, lose all guild ups or stick it out on current server….that is the question.
