Tired of whining about Ascendants. Lets whine about empty capital cities instead.

After the now 2nd big event in LA I´m getting the sinking feeling that ANet will host the “Wintergames” there too.
Just sprinkle fake snow everywhere and magic Snowmen that don´t melt in a temperate ocean city.

Please ANet, DON´T !

Breathe back some life into the deserted cities.
At least once a year.
Obviously Wintersday(see GW1) should be hosted in Hoelbrak.

Some time ago when I still “cared” I made this thread regarding exactly the same thing.

I agree actually, we need to see some of the events hosted in other racial capitals.

If I’m honest though I’d rather they just cancel all events and get everyone working on fixing bugs and broken content first.

Isn’t LA north of the equator of Tyria? So, it can be fitting to have snow.

I’m not sure if they scrapped it, but GW2 was supposed to have weather. I’m slightly expecting the world to have snow for a few months. But it is very very slight.

Having each city host some sort of major event during the year would be wonderful for those which have been shown no love by the community.

I can understand LA is the hub of all player activity and it does it wonderfully, however because of this there is no need to visit any of the other cities other than for ‘business’ (story, racial equipment etc).

I personally would love to see LA act as the day-to-day hub while Rata Sum hosts Easter, Hoelbrak hosts Christmas (and “Boxing Day”!) and the Black Citadel hosts…. I dunno…. Kitten punching day.

I think it would breath some life into these often deserted and under appreciated cities.

IF you dont like events, simply dont play gw2. Its a normal thing for GW to have winter event and snow fights in major cities, candy farm etc. I do want snowman and want some a’la haloween event again.

I’d suggest you read the OP before posting… they’re not requesting the removal of events…

I’d like to see Wintersday everywhere in tyrie … or the arrival of seasons Gw2 … we can have a real winter …

Im all for events in other places then just LA. Makes ut go out and explore the wonderfull world you actually made. And we all know Santa is a Norn anyway.

A lot of places south of the equator have snow too.

Lion’s Arch has always been the hub of Wintersday, it would be sad to see that change. However, I wonder how it’ll play out with the gods being silent and all that… Dwayna and Grenth going at it each year is just the way it’s always been.
