Q:

I’ve originally got hooked with Guildwars 2 from the story/lore. And Season 2 has reinvigorated my obsession with Guildwars 2.

But what kept me around was the exploration and small party/group events.

I enjoyed exploring Tyria with a handful of friends. Discovering explore able mini-dungeons, defeating world bosses and forming a close knit of friends that I call guild-mates.

And now, it feels like every new content is driven by this, ’let’s take 75+ players and complete the events’ and with the mega-server and world bosses on set timers, I won’t ever be able to enjoy taking down a world boss like I used to, with my friends.

I wouldn’t be sulking so much if there was new content that I could do with just 5-10 friends. I mean, the party system is maxed at 5 players. So why aren’t there as many events that require that many players?

Will be any new content for small parties?

Despite popular belief, not everything is zerg content. Silverwastes for example only needs 2 competent people per fort to successfully complete the entire event, though I would recommend 1 person per attackable wall and 1 person per escort.

Tequatl and the wurm are the only group events that actually requires a large amount of people. Every other group event can be completed with only a small group, generally 2-5.

Yes, the days of soloing things like the Temple of Grenth are gone, but its open world content. They can’t force who can and can’t participate in the open world as that would turn it into a dungeon. Its better to have content that can scale to any group size than content that is scaled for a minority.

Regardless of what group size the content is designed for, all new open world content is going to be zerged at first.
