Simple question really…I did not see any footage of gliding in the expansion release video.

I am concerned that it will be omitted for the Mounts…but I don’t see why it WOULDN’T be there, too…but just checking to be sure.

Could be some cool gliders added with Elonian or other themes from the expansion.

Maybe this was addresses somewhere else, but I did not see it in a search.

Well, without HoT you have no glider. That is easy and does not depend where you are, if core maps or PoF.

The gliding will be enabled at PoF maps, remember those Zephyrites cities on cliffs, there were updrafts and so. Also Peach used glider in her part of show.

I’m wondering too. I’m assuming that if you have HoT you will be able to glide. I’m just not sure 100% that if you don’t have HoT and therfore can’t glide, some areas will be
inaccessible. I can’t see this being the case but it could use clarification.

Agreed…they did say you would NOT need HoT…so I can’t see where gliding would be REQUIRED to do something in PoF…unless they are going to include a way to get gliding masteries in PoF as well…just more questions…:)

I assume it will be possible to glide in PoF maps. They added gliding to the base game so it’d be very odd to remove it from the new zones.

But yeah, you’ll need HoT to be able to glide and they’ve said you don’t need HoT to play the new expansion, so I assume there won’t be anywhere that needs gliding to access.

But just like in core Tyria there will probably be several places it makes things easier. (And maybe some places where it’s disabled.)

I also need to know if you’ll be able to glide in PoF WITHOUT owning HoT. It’s the deciding factor for someone I know whether or not they’ll return to the game.

If it’s not required, I doubt it.

Verified…I had not watched Peachy’s video…she definitely popped her glider jumping off the front of the airship. Thanks for the info!

I was watching a test play of PoF today, gliding is enabled (provided you have HoT)
