Part of the reason they changed traits to specialisations and removed the stats from them is because they wanted to be able to add new ones so it’s a pretty safe bet there will be others in future.
But probably not before the next expansion and we don’t know when that will be. It might not take 3 years this time because for at least some of that time they weren’t planning on making an expansion and were trying other ideas instead, whereas now I assume they’ll start planning it pretty soon, if they haven’t already. But I would have thought a year at least, any sooner than that and players won’t have time to complete everything and will be more likely to complain about the price.

Guesstimating, I would say we can expect expansions every 1,5 years or so, given their team size and the market. That’s assuming the game stays healthy ofc.
And I would reckon that many~most will include another elite spec. Since we’re limited to one at a time they’re somewhat easy to mass-produce.

Guaranteed there will be more specializations as ANET has said that is there plan going forward. Furthermore we may not even have to wait for an “official” expansion to get them either as they can be released with Living Story updates or some such thing. Of course if today’s elite specs already cost 400 hero points…
