Q:
Will we ever have Dragon Bash again?
A:
Maybe.
I wouldn’t expect it until we defeat Mordremoth though ^^

Nothing is off the table.

Because we can’t be angry about both?
Since it’s was tied to LS Season 1 storyline I wouldn’t hold my breath but who knows.
Under wraps, being discussed, can’t give details, no timeframe, dev are listening, Exciting™.
LOL, so true.
Maybe.

I, as well, hope it comes back after we defeat Mordremoth. That would be nice!

It wasn’t tied to the S1 story, it was a festival with historical roots. However, with Lion’s Arch destroyed…. wait, we had Halloween, so… seems like Dragon Bash would be the way to go to get everyone even more pumped up about punching Mordy in the face.

That was what I was thinking, initially. Then we had Halloween, so I want to know why Dragon Bash was avoided this year.

I would assume because the first one was quite tied into the defeat of Zhaitan and as such it wouldn’t really make much sense to celebrate the defeat of an Elder Dragon in the middle of the Rise of another one.

“Dragon Bash is a release launched on June 11th, 2013. It is a holiday event inspired by the historical Dragon Festival, but with a Lion’s Arch flair, intending to symbolize the resistance to the Elder Dragons.”

“Lion’s Arch honors the defiant spirit of its citizenry with the rousing Dragon Bash festival, when revelers laugh in the face of fear! "

If they ever rebuild Lion’s Arch.
Didn’t know the Teamsters have a chapter in Tyria.
RIP City of Heroes
I would say that this part of the mail human characters got is rather clear that it does take the defeat of Zhaitan into consideration:
After working so hard to defend Tyria, we could use some fun. Just in time, the Ship’s Council of Lion’s Arch is hosting a “Dragon Bash” festival to celebrate our victories– past, present, and future–against the Elder Dragons.
I wouldn’t really say we had any real victories against the Elder Dragons before the death of Zhaitan.

Wondering how to make the most of your time at Dragon Bash? We’ve created a small guide to help keep you on the right track for this year’s festival.
From the release page.
That sounds a lot like an annual festival, does it not?

Victory can be defined as many things. Ever heard the phrase “We lost the battle, but not the war” before? Killing an elder dragon is not the only way to define a victory against them.

I don’t recall actually having that much fun at Dragon Bash. It was one of the first living story patches, and thus mostly a bunch of post-office type activities. If they do bring it back, I hope it is with a major revamp.
I think after we defeat Mordremoth, this is… if we do! I for one don’t like much that typical route of “yeh smash da dragon, and ye is hero”, I prefer if he runs away and hides himself, or something.

But as I said: We didn’t really have any real victories until soon before we destroyed Zhaitan.
And we do know for a fact that Dragon Bash DOES take place after the Death of Zhaitan in the timeline.

You know what would be funny? If they launched Dragon Bash only to have it interrupted by Mordremoth.
What better way to rally the troops, inspire people, help rebuild our town (during the bash, have people donate their empyreal fragments, and dragonite ore!) than to have a giant DRAGON BASH?!

Yeah, I am sure they would love to have a festival when all of a sudden a bunch of vines can just pop up and kill everyone with no way of defending against it

Something tells me Echoes of the Past may have had something to do with this.
