Just curious if Anet has plans to ever add this to the store. Its a cash cow for Anet, I’m actually surprised it has not been added already.

The biggest problem I can see with race changes in game is cultural armor sets. Like would they just automatically changed to that other races armor or would you have humans in t3 charr armor? Maybe this isn’t an issue but it seems like it would be to me

And personal story + subsequent achievements. I Imagine the techincial difficulties of both outweigh this being done.

I doubt race changes will happen. It would be quicker to remake a toon than wait for this to happen tbh.

May be if and only if they say make a race changes after you do the full person story but before the next story “expansion” so it some what ties into what going on in the story. Other then that no i do not see it happening.

If they ever start to see drops in revenue, you can bet they will introduce things they have said no to in the past. As long as there is a healthy influx of money from the cash shop as it is, I doubt we will see it.

I dont really see why personal storyline would be too difficult. Just replace the personal storyline someone has with their new races one. No matter what choices you make the story converges onto the same point so make a requirement for using the the race change be that you have to be on a certain level mission which is the same for all choices.
Honestly i really think this would be a good thing to implement because not everyone knows exactly what race they will like by the time they get to 80. For example i recently deleted my ranger because i wanted a norn one, a lvl 80 that i had spent over 120g on. I want to do the same with my warrior and change that to a norn as well bc my guardian is already a human but ive spent alot more than 120g on my warrior and i dont want to lose all my gear and dyes just to change races.
and yes i would pay 20$ to change my race

yes, buy another character slot and roll a character of the species you like. Baffles me how that is a big deal.

I would think by no later than L40 or so a player would have figured out they didn’t like the race they were playing and roll a new one. Oh, and here you go OP

Yeah it is a bit silly, but I would buy this only to change my main from norn to human than to wait an eternity for a camera fix/polish.
