So.. January is over in 11 days, and usually we would have gotten our super awesome update weekend around this time ((If not earlier))
After scouting trough the forums and many unoffical posts and anouncements you can clearly see that A-net is up to something. My question however, “Will we see an update this January?” and if not.. then how long will it take to the next update?

But aside from guesting, will we see an event like Wintersday/Halloween/Karka Event?

no- the next couple of patches will focus on current game

Aside from dungeon ballances, server guesting, bug fixing we won’t see anything worthy for the update to have it’s own page aparently. Unless of course A-net surprise us tomorrow.

I’m hopping for 4 things in the next update.
1. Remodel/Rebalance the non-fractal dungeons and their mechanics, and give us reason to play the story mode again. I would rather have the enemies deal more damage, that taking an hour for each to die.
2. Add some kind of extra reward to group events, to encurage people to wait for others and play them rather than running away from them.
3. Don’t have any 1 time events. It’s not that I don’t like them, and I trully believe they learned their lesson the last time and won’t impliment them again in LA, but my examination period starts tomorrow and my time will be very limited.
4. Make the other Cities equaly importand to LA! I hate that place!

I hope they do more than just guesting for jan patch.. Programming the guesting stuff & paid server transfers is actually nothing, also it should have been in the game at the launch of the game or maybe a month after.

No, they promised a PVP update in February, which is going to happen. WVWVW and sPVP, tPVP. No release date other than February yet.

The first steps for fixing culling, and maybe the new laurels rewards, are also coming this month. Also, as always with those monthly updates, we should also get class balances.

But was it confirmed that we won’t get new world-building content? I know we should get no new maps, and that they aren’t planning to make huge events again until the culling is finished. But more story/ world “quests”, or something else that builds up for a future update?

Anyways, we probably should get a blog post soon. Tomorrow soon, maybe?

Orr is going to be less populated with mobs sometime this month, which is awesome.

What I find personally a bit confusing, because on the official event website, theres for january also an event listed under 2013 with a locked symbol…

That website was used so far always for special events, it began with halloween, and the site continued its use of existing for the karka, as also wintersday event, always showing us, what people could expect happening in those event days and telling people the day schedules, what happens when and where

So, if there is no special at least MINI Weekendevent or so, it would be a bit disappointing, because then I really wouldn’t understand the locked symbol for january 2013 being shown in the event list…
If we would get no event this month in the style of ther previous 3, then they could at least say so on the site, that january will happen nothing big.

They said there would be an introduction for a big event running on Feb an March. I guess that introductionn is Jan locked event.
