Will we see smallerscale, more casual PVP?
Sounds like this is a 2-part problem
1) Other than WvW (mass PvP) there is only 1 game mode for PvP, which is capture-these-circles. A few more like the FA one he mentioned above would be nice.
2) There is no incentive to sPvP unless you are super hardcore. Most people don’t like it because it doesn’t progress your character at all, outside of the Mists. Putting in such an incentive will attract more casual players.
I hope ANet brings back some kind of alliance battle with the introduction of Cantha or Crystal Desert
The wiki shows some upcomming plans, which i look forward to.
Structured PvP:
New maps.
Objectives other than conquest.
Rentable custom arenas in Structured PvP, for customizable scrimmages and duels.
World versus World:
Improving the commander functionality: Being discussed, but not being worked on yet.
Making Siegeweapons not soul bound: Planned, but currently not possible due to internal programming issues.
Dueling: The ability to duel other players in world.

Yeah and the Kurzicks had the overwhelming advantage in FA, it’s much easier to defend than it is to attack, especially since the siege turtles were so easy for Kurzicks to bug and get them stuck.
Not to mention if Kurzicks had Restoration Spirit Ritualist’s & Monks, it was VERY difficult to kill Gunther. But I’d still like to see something like this return, quite surprised (and very disappointed) that sPvP consists of ONLY capture and hold the points :\
I’m surprised there’s no DotA mode. It’d be something I’d enjoy. I like the community in GW2 a lot better than in DotA2/LoL.
