Following up on that the reserved names are being released next week, I was wondering how many of you are waiting for a specific name and what is your reason for waiting for it or are don’t you care as much and simply settle for something else?

I decided to make up new names for my characters in GW2 (mostly since two names aren’t required anymore). I’m more interested to see if I meet one of my old names running around

I am not worried about any of my old names being taken. I use unusual first names usually with my user name here as a last name. No there isn’t any names that I want. I like to be different, and don’t want to steal somebodies name.

At the moment I have no plans to make any more characters anyway.

There are a few names I use in GW1 which I might want to carry over at some point, but I’m not worried about them being taken because they’re all fairly unusual. I made them all several years after the first game was released and it wasn’t a problem so I can’t see anything changing this time around.

Anyone else looking to pickup some names tomorrow? I’m planning to pickup one myself as well, since I’ve been waiting for it since well… gw1.

I’m mildly curious to see if I can somehow pick up “Kirigaya Kazuto”. Although there’s no chance in heaven or hell I’d actually ever use that name.

Nope Meta, you’re pretty much the only dude waiting to potentially capitalize on someone’s misfortune by jacking a two word character name they were probably using for years and quite attached to.

one of my characters had to have his planned name altered due to reserved names.

i can’t be bothered leveling him back just to change a word.

too late now atm.. will settle for the misspelling

I have one name up for grabs: “Arya Elthorian” Level 20 Elonian Elementalist

I have no plans on actually using it, but if anyone is interested, then first come, first serve.

I’m going to try, desperately.

But I know from launch not to get my hopes up. My top choice names were gone by 9:01 the night before headstart began.
