Just let me start by saying gliding is great. Im not an expert jumper and even though it takes me time I can do some without help but Im finding now, that when I go back, as I need to do them for lengendary achieves, to the ones that I have actually succeeded in I cant do them anymore as my glider opens when I dont want it to and I miss the jump making some puzzles now impossible for me. It would be great if we could take them off when needed.

I do think it is an issue. Hubby complains he has difficulty with longer jumps because when he holds down the jump key his glider pops and he finds himself overshooting or trying to close the glider and missing the spot he was aiming for because he suddenly drops.

I have not had so much trouble with jumps but I do have the Lean Techniques and he doesn’t so I can slow and hover and get into position easier. But it would be nice to be able to bind the glider to another key if you wanted to or just turn it off when you don’t want to use it. I will say gliding has kept me from falling to my death more than once!

I do not know how binding the glider to another key would affect the jump pads though since holding the jump button is what makes them work. The Shatterer event you need to use the jump because if you use interact it is more likely to bug out.

This is definitely something that needs some refining.

I too have had to retrain my jumping method. I have simply had to force myself to learn to tap the space bar as opposed to pressing/holding the space bar. The jump height/distance is the same regardless.
