It is a really nice subtle aura, that when stood still is barely noticeable. It has a nice frosty trail that flows off you when you run. But is bleaches your skin so unless you are completely covered up it looks bad.
Then there is also the fact that it is so subtle that all the people that love to stack there aura or want to shine like a star don’t want it, and is kind of left undesirable to people when they find out how it looks.
I personally feel like there needs to be more subtle auras since we have a lot of huge shiny ones and this would be a perfect addition if it wasn’t for the bleaching.

The bleaching might look better on certain races and colorations, such a a white Charr or maybe a Sylvari.

It might look better on some races but if you want that look you can choose those skin tones at character creation or with a make over kit, for the infusion to completely change your skin tone is just annoying.

I think it suits Wintersday perfectly, as the Halloween aura suit Halloween. I don’t personally like the black/cat poly-lumi, but the price suggests it’s more popular. As long as ANet keeps releasing more auras and more infusions, I don’t need to love more than a few.

Variety is good. You’re not going to like all auras or everything about one aura but I guarantee there is someone, or many someones, who love the bleach effect. I don’t like the orange glowy Halloween one myself but there’s no reason for me to make a thread suggesting that it be a different color than orange just because orange isn’t my favorite color.

I personally love this item.

Variety is good and I am up for more kinds, and if this was like a poly and did the same all over on the armour, I could accept that but it only being the skin which if you want a super pale character you can get really easily it is just unnecessary. If it turned you blue or a colour that you can’t otherwise get, it really wouldn’t both me as much even if I didn’t like it. As it is it takes the bleaching takes away/limits your design choices of your character.

I’d much prefer auras surround a player with color/effects, as auras generally do, rather than actually color a player and/or their gear. I choose my skin tones (a bit on the tannish side) and armor dyes for a reason. Pale/offcolor skin tones look horrible in any game I’ve played. Thus, the auras in this game are not something I care for at all.
